- "The" at the beginning of the name? Put it at the end of the name to help searches. e.g. "Monkees, The".
- Please be careful to enter the correct spelling and numbers (if applicable) so that other users can find your item!
- TV Shows: Put the name of the show in the "Main name" field; simply put "TV" in the "Secondary name" field or the TV channel you used to watch it on.
- Single-word names of things or people: Sometimes you may have an item with a single name, like "Sting" or "Concorde". In this case put this in the "Main name / Made by / Surname" field and put "Singer"/"Plane" (or other useful description) in the "Secondary name / Item or Model name" field. Please see table above.
- Approximate year: for movies, give the year it was originally released; for TV it would be when the show originally aired on TV; for rock groups etc the year would be when they broke up or "retired" from the industry. Do not worry if the exact date is not known, but this info will help pinpoint the era the item is from.
- Country item was discontinued in: Usually the country you live in. Sometimes items are discontinued in only some countries. Avoid selecting "All countries" if you don't know for sure where the item was discontinued.
